Tap and hold any of the default colours to open the colour spectrum then swipe across the slider to choose your custom colour.<\/p>\n<h2>Customize Your Fonts<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-56306\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.lodestardigital.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/custom-fonts.jpg\" alt=\"Instagram Fonts\" width=\"337\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.lodestardigital.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/custom-fonts.jpg 337w, https:\/\/blog.lodestardigital.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/custom-fonts-169x300.jpg 169w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 337px) 100vw, 337px\" \/><br \/>\nChange the colour of a single word in a caption by highlighting it and selecting from the coloured options (or press, hold and swipe to choose from the colour slider). You can also individually write each word or section of your caption and resize portions of it for a strong impact.<\/p>\n<h2>Create A Drop Shadow<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-56307\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.lodestardigital.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/drop-shadow.jpg\" alt=\"Instagram Text Shadow\" width=\"100%\" height=\"auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.lodestardigital.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/drop-shadow.jpg 900w, https:\/\/blog.lodestardigital.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/drop-shadow-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blog.lodestardigital.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/drop-shadow-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/><br \/>\nCreate a drop-shadow effect by tapping the \u201cAa\u201d icon and writing your message. Repeat this step but choose a different colour and then arrange it on top of the first layer of text but slightly askew.<\/p>\n<h2>Change Your Sticker Colours<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-56308\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.lodestardigital.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/coloured-stickers.jpg\" alt=\"Instagram Stickers\" width=\"100%\" height=\"auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.lodestardigital.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/coloured-stickers.jpg 900w, https:\/\/blog.lodestardigital.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/coloured-stickers-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blog.lodestardigital.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/coloured-stickers-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/><br \/>\nTap stickers while in colour mode to revert them to a stencil. Then, once placed in position, carefully colour behind them.Similarly, you can tap hashtag and location stickers to change them from their Instagram-hued default to a translucent grey.<\/p>\n<h2>Create Overlays<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-56309\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.lodestardigital.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/overlays-1024x599.jpg\" alt=\"Instagram Transparent\" width=\"100%\" height=\"auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.lodestardigital.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/overlays-1024x599.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blog.lodestardigital.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/overlays-300x176.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blog.lodestardigital.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/overlays-768x450.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blog.lodestardigital.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/overlays.jpg 1025w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><br \/>\nCreate a coloured overlay by selecting the pen in the upper right-hand corner of the screen and then selecting a colour. Tap and hold anywhere on the screen until the screen is filled with a solid colour. You can then use the eraser tool to reveal a section of the image.<\/p>\n<p>Create a translucent overlay by selecting the chisel-tipped marker and then the colour you wish to use. Tap and hold anywhere on the screen to create an opaque layer.<\/p>\n<h2>Layer Your Captions<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-56310\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.lodestardigital.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/layered-captions.jpg\" alt=\"Instagram Layers\" width=\"100%\" height=\"auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.lodestardigital.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/layered-captions.jpg 900w, https:\/\/blog.lodestardigital.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/layered-captions-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blog.lodestardigital.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/layered-captions-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/><br \/>\nFirst, add a caption to your image and then click the \u201cSave\u201d arrow in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen. Then add the image to your story. Next, select your saved image from your camera roll and add a second caption\/sticker to the first. Repeat as desired.<\/p>\n<h2>Mentions<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-56311\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.lodestardigital.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/mentions.jpg\" alt=\"Instagram Mentions\" width=\"338\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.lodestardigital.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/mentions.jpg 338w, https:\/\/blog.lodestardigital.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/mentions-169x300.jpg 169w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 338px) 100vw, 338px\" \/><br \/>\nTag other accounts in your stories by selecting the \u201cAa\u201d icon in the upper right-hand corner of the screen and typing the @ symbol immediately followed by the user\u2019s Instagram handle.
