Objectives.<\/h2>\n<p>Specific. Measurable. Achievable. Relevant. Time-bound.<\/p>\n<p>Digital marketing campaigns require thorough planning in order to set proper expectations and earn\u00a0positive\u00a0outcomes. Your keen efforts in the planning stages will provide your business with a\u00a0calculated strategy for managing the resources needed to execute campaigns.<\/p>\n<p>To make sure your goals are clear and attainable, each one should be:<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p1\"><b>1. Specific<\/b><\/h2>\n<p class=\"p1\">Setting\u00a0clear and specific expectations is key for providing a focused approach in your execution and messaging. Try answering relevant questions for\u00a0your campaign to define this criteria.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"margin-left: 10%;\">\n<li class=\"p1\">What do you want to accomplish?<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Who is involved?<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Where is it located?<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">When is the sale\/event happening?<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Why is this important?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h2 class=\"p1\"><b>2. Measurable<\/b><\/h2>\n<p class=\"p1\">A measurable goal should address questions such as:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"margin-left: 10%;\">\n<li>What\u00a0are\u00a0my\u00a0benchmark metrics?<\/li>\n<li>How\u00a0much\u00a0can we\u00a0improve on the benchmark figures?<\/li>\n<li>How\u00a0many sales are needed to\u00a0surpass\u00a0our B.E.P. (break even point)?<\/li>\n<li>How many new followers do we want on our social media pages?<\/li>\n<li>How many online coupons do we want to be downloaded?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In the world of\u00a0data-driven\u00a0digital marketing, we\u00a0are able to compile and interpret data to assess a campaign&#8217;s performance, but these numbers\u00a0are\u00a0trivial without benchmarks and goals. Always carefully consider the constraints and available resources\u00a0such as\u00a0budget, technical feasibility and service parameters, among other factors.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Setting an achievable goal\u00a0will help you\u00a0plan\u00a0a clear path on\u00a0your roadmap to success.\u00a0Here are some\u00a0examples of achievable goals:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"margin-left: 10%;\">\n<li>Demonstrate expertise in your\u00a0industry<\/li>\n<li>Turn existing customers into brand ambassadors<\/li>\n<li>Increase\u00a0engagement\u00a0on social media channels<\/li>\n<li>Build or increase newsletter signups<\/li>\n<li>Increase\u00a0customer loyalty<\/li>\n<li>Increase earned media buzz<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h2 class=\"p1\"><b>4. Apply a S.M.A.R.T Objective statement to\u00a0a past or\u00a0present\u00a0campaign to see if you&#8217;ve got all of the criteria covered. If so, you\u00a0must be a natural!
